A & M Civil is a family owned and run civil contracting company, steeped in local history.
Opening our doors in 1974, based in the Somerset region, Albert and Monica De Ruiter oversaw building works in pipeline and sewer construction for the local area.
In 2015, their son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kerry De Ruiter, took over directorship and now manage projects delivered by more than 30 staff.
We now specialise is building roads, carparks, sports fields, concrete structures, batters and road protection, as well as pipelines and sewers.
Our large local in-house team of senior construction staff have extensive industry experience. This diverse team includes qualified and accredited civil engineers, project managers, plumbers, concreters, plant operators, surveyors, and administrators.
We are proud to also supervise local apprentices, as we are committed to local job growth.
No other competitor locally has such a large amount of in-house equipment, leading technology and specialist expertise.
As all the equipment we supply to projects is our own, we can trust it is in solid condition and be able to keep to project timelines with better planning around sourcing equipment.
We know accuracy and efficiency is important to our clients, and that is why we offer some of the latest in civil works technology.
This includes Laser GPS-controlled ground levelling software and up-to-minute integrated management software that lets us, and our clients directly adjust and communicate changes to project requirements in real-time.
Our strongest connection and commitment is to our local area, which inspires our charity efforts and our business practices.
We can proudly say we have given our time and patronage to raise well over $40,000 in the last 10 years to notable causes. Charity partners include the Somerset Storm Netball Club, the Brisbane Valley Soccer Club, the Lowood Show, and the Somerset Rail Trail Fun Run.
